John Cena joins the make or miss conversation.
FanDuel released the second ad of its “Kick of Destiny 2” Super Bowl LVIII campaign. The latest ad features John Cena and Rob Gronkowski, the latter who is looking for redemption.
“Continuing to tell the story of Gronk’s journey to Las Vegas for his redemption field goal, this new ad spot features the four-time Super Bowl champion breaking into the FanDuel headquarters and convincing executives to take a chance on him and a Kick of Destiny sequel this year, and in return taking John Cena’s place. Tension flies high between Gronk and Cena, as the WWE champion tries intimidating the NFL Pro-Bowler by declaring Gronk will miss his upcoming live kick,” reads the ad synopsis.
“Kick of Destiny 2” will allow FanDuel customers to participate in the campaign by casting a free vote for Gronk on the FanDuel Sportsbook app. Winning customers will win a share of $10M in FanDuel bonus wagers.

The December 29 episode of WWE SmackDown was the “Absolute Best of 2023” edition of the show. In one highlight, the show featured John Cena’s return to WWE and replayed part of his match against Solo Sikoa. There, Sikoa beat the former champion, and he has not been seen on WWE programming since.
Cena appeared in a taped message on Friday’s show. He made it clear that he was grateful for the fans’ support. Cena also stated that he does not know how much time he has left in WWE. However, he also said he looked forward to the next time he can be with the fans.
