AEW Collision Results – January 13, 2024
This week’s episode of AEW Collision kicks off with Adam Copeland issuing his open challenge. It’s answered by Lee Moriarty of Shane Taylor Promotions.
Adam Copeland defeated Lee Moriarty (w/ Shane Taylor)
- Adam Copeland locks Lee Moriarty in the Grindhouse to win the match via submission.
Copeland gets on the microphone after the match and reminds Christian Cage that he’s coming for him.
A recap plays of the main event of AEW Collision last week, which saw House of Black standing tall over FTR and Daniel Garcia.
FTR and Daniel Garcia are backstage. Cash Wheeler says he believes the three of them will get along just fine. Wheeler says tonight is all about revenge. Harwood says they might not be able to get along, but they have a common enemy, and they’re ready to fight. Daniel Garcia says Collision might be the place he needs to be in order to become the wrestler he wants to be. Garcia says he’s getting revenge tonight on House of Black once and for all.
Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara are backstage. Guevara says he’s the only person to ever win a title on Battle of the Belts and it’s going to happen again tonight. Jericho says Big Bill and Ricky Starks have done a tremendous job as champions, but tonight they fulfill their destiny. Jericho says they will seek, destroy, and walk out as the new AEW Tag Team Champions later tonight.
Mogul Embassy (w/ Prince Nana) defeated Lance Archer and The Righteous (w/ Jake Roberts) to retain the ROH Six-Man Tag Team Champions
- Bishop Kaun hits Vincent with a Pedigree to score the pinfall victory for his team.
Prince Nana lays out a challenge for Bullet Club Gold on AEW Collision
Prince Nana says that the Mogul Embassy will defend the ROH Six-Man Tag Team Titles against Bullet Club Gold this Wednesday on AEW Dynamite if they accept his challenge.
Preston Vance is backstage. Before he can speak he’s confronted by The Undisputed Kingdom. Vance says after he beats Orange Cassidy tonight he’ll kick Roderick Strong’s ass too.
Dustin Rhodes defeated Willie Mack
- Dustin Rhodes hits Willie Mack with a modified swinging neckbreaker to score the pinfall victory.
Bullet Club Gold are backstage. Jay White accepts Mogul Embassy’s challenge for AEW Dynamite this Wednesday.
HOOK arrives at the building unannounced, and the commentary team is very excited about it.
Dustin Rhodes is backstage. Rhodes is interrupted by Christian Cage. Cage says if you’re a friend of Adam Copeland, you’re an enemy of his. Rhodes says he better talk to him with more respect. Rhodes says if Cage has the balls, he’ll put the title on the line against him this Wednesday on Dynamite. Cage doesn’t accept but insults Dusty Rhodes instead which makes Dustin even angrier.
Hangman Page defeated JD Drake (w/ Anthony Henry)
- Hangman Page hits JD Drake with a Buckshot Lariat to score the pinfall victory.
Deonna Purrazzo defeated Red Velvet
- Deonna Purrazzo locks Red Velvet in Venus Denali to win the match via submission.
HOOK defeated Kevin Matthews
- HOOK locked Kevin Matthews in Redrum to win via submission in a quick squash match.
House of Black defeated FTR and Daniel Garcia
- Buddy Matthews hits a curb stomp on Dax Harwood to score the pinfall victory for his team.
The teams continue to brawl. FTR and Daniel Garcia get the better of House of Black as AEW Collision goes off the air.
