Two WWE veterans are expected to return soon, according to a new report.
In the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that Xavier Woods and Sheamus are expected to return to WWE programming “over the next few weeks.” Additional details were not provided in the report, so it is not clear when they will be back.
Sheamus last wrestled on the August 18 episode of WWE SmackDown, where he lost to Edge. In September, Meltzer reported that Sheamus was dealing with a “really bad” shoulder injury. He was initially advertised for SmackDown tapings in November, but he did not appear at the shows.
Woods has not wrestled since the November 27 episode of WWE RAW. In December, Mike Johnson of PWInsider reported that he was taken off the road because he was banged up. Johnson later reported that the company had a tentative plan for Woods’ return, as he was expected back in the first two weeks of January.
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
