Eddie Kingston will defend the gold on the January 12 episode of AEW Rampage.
As announced Wednesday night on AEW Dynamite, Wheeler Yuta will challenge Eddie Kingston for the AEW Continental Crown Championship. Yuta, the reigning ROH Pure Champion, issued the challenge on AEW Dynamite.
Plus, Swerve Strickland will face Matt Sydal, and Hikaru Shida will battle Queen Aminata.

The announced card for Friday’s episode of Rampage is as follows:
- AEW Continental Crown Championship: Eddie Kingston (c) vs. Wheeler Yuta
- Hikaru Shida vs. Queen Aminata
