Eddie Kingston says he beats people up, and the fans like him for some reason.
Eddie Kingston has become a fan-favorite star throughout his time in AEW. He reached new heights in 2023, as he won the ROH World Championship. He ended the year by beating Jon Moxley to win the AEW Continental Classic.
Speaking with First Coast News, Eddie Kingston was asked to describe how he has risen to the top of the roster.
“Oh, I just fought people and beat everybody up,” Kingston said. “It’s that simple. I do my job, and then that’s it. I connect with the people. For some reason, people like me, and that’s how it happened. I don’t know.”
In the interview, Kingston noted that he would have a match on the January 12 episode of AEW Rampage.
