Swerve Strickland Starring In Upcoming Slasher Movie ‘Stiletto’

Swerve Strickland is getting another chance to try his hand at horror.

Deadline reports that Strickland has landed a role in Stilleto, a new slasher film from Samuel Gonzalez Jr.

Gigi Gustin will star and executive produce the film. Charlotte McKinney (Fantasy Island) and Colleen Camp (Amsterdam, American Hustle) also star. The cast is rounded out by Strickland (credited as Stephon “Swerve” Strickland), Pancho Moler (3 from Hell), Tyler Abron (Fear), Stephen Blackehart (Guardians of the Galaxy), Meghan Carrasquillo (Four.) Russel Todd, (Friday the 13th Part 2) and Mia Challis (FBI: International) round out the cast.

“A year after the grisly murder of a local exotic dancer, the victim’s sister, Lyric [Gustin], searches for the serial killer responsible as he stalks and kills his favorite dancers on the night of the anniversary,” reads the film’s official synopsis.

“When I was a kid I would venture into the back section of the video store to find the most obscure 80s horror flicks I could find,” said Gonzalez Jr. “I was fascinated with the ‘strange and unusual’ but most specifically, the early slasher cinema of that period. Stiletto follows in the bloody footsteps of those films we love so much but also pushes it to the cinematic limit, with memorable kills and a diverse cast of both up and comers and legends alike. It’s a true love ‘obituary’ and we can’t wait to introduce the world to our Stiletto Killer.”

This is Strickland’s second horror film role, as he can currently be seen in Night Of The Missing, streaming now on Screambox / Amazon.

Willow Nightingale Wants To Knock Every Opportunity Out Of The Park

“He’s doing it phenomenally”

All Elite Wrestling‘s Willow Nightingale spoke with WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard. Willow praised Swerve Strickland’s work and compared him to a horror movie villain.

“I think he is amazing,” Willow Nightingale said. “I think right now, if he’s playing the character of a horror movie villain, I think he’s doing it phenomenally. And I’ve been a fan of his since before he was even at the other company. On the indies, I saw him at CZW before he even came out to Chaka Khan. He’s coming out to like Jackson Five ‘I Want You Back’. Just the whole time, I thought this guy was one of the best all-around wrestlers, smoothest in the ring.
