Nia Jax scored a major victory on WWE RAW.
Former RAW Women’s Champions Becky Lynch and Nia Jax have been feuding in recent weeks. Jax had been avoiding a showdown with Lynch, but “The Man” continued to target “The Irresistible Force”. Jax eventually agreed to face Lynch, and they clashed in a singles match for the first time on the January 1 “Day 1” episode of WWE RAW.
Lynch and Jax battled back and forth early on. In the opening minutes, Lynch controlled the action. Jax gained the upper hand and overpowered Lynch. Lynch rallied and slammed Jax. The match spilled out of the ring. Lynch ducked a punch, and Jax accidentally hit the ring post. Jax narrowly avoided getting counted out.
Lynch got a two-count with a leg drop and locked in the Disarm-Her, but Lynch powered her way out. Jax slammed her way out of an arm-bar. Jax then slammed Lynch with an avalanche Samoan drop. Lynch fired up with a flurry of offense. Jax blasted Lynch with a right hand and pinned her with the Annihilator.
