Throughout his career, Kurt Angle has been in many factions. While most of them were successful, there was one partnership that didn’t work well, as he teamed up with Luther Reigns and Mark Jindrak for a time.
During the recent episode of The Kurt Angle Show, the WWE Hall of Famer shared his thoughts on the faction. Angle also revealed what both Reigns and Jindrak lacked.
“I liked them [Luther Reigns and Mark Jindrak] a lot. They had… They had stuff to work on. Luther wasn’t the greatest in the ring. He really needed to work on his technique and some ring psychology. And Mark Jindrak, he needed to work on his promo skills. And the problem with both of them is, they didn’t work on it. They didn’t practice extra, they didn’t come in early and work on it. So they improved very little from when we started to when we broke up. Which was only about six or seven months I believe. But it was relatively a quick faction.”
Kurt Angle also said that he believes that if both people were fused together to form a single individual, that wrestler would be another Rock in WWE.
“Oh you put them together, you had the baddest wrestler in the world. Mark Jindrak could work like a son of a gun in the ring. Luther Reigns could cut a promo like no other. You basically had The Rock again,” Kurt Angle said.
Kurt Angle shares his thoughts on Vince McMahon: Considers him as a father figure
In a recent interview with True Geordie on his podcast, the WWE Hall of Famer opened up about Vince McMahon. Angle stated that he considers McMahon as a father figure.
“You know what? From the first day that I met him, till today, even though… even when we weren’t talking, even when things weren’t going so well for me and I felt like he could have done more for me, I always looked at him as a father figure. And I think it’s because I lost Dave Schultz, I lost my dad, anybody that controlled my life like my dad controlled my sports when I was growing up. Dave controlled my wrestling. Vince controlled my pro wrestling. I looked up to him as a father figure. And I respected Vince, I loved him. And so I still feel that way to this day. He gave me an opportunity and I took it. Now, did I deserve that opportunity? You’re damn right I did. but he gave it to me and I was very grateful for that.”
