John Cena teased his WWE return.
The December 29 episode of WWE SmackDown was the “Absolute Best of 2023” edition of the show. In one highlight, the show featured John Cena’s return to WWE and replayed part of his match against Solo Sikoa. There, Sikoa beat the former champion, and he has not been seen on WWE programming since.
Cena appeared in a taped message on Friday’s show. He made it clear that he was grateful for the fans’ support. Cena also stated that he does not know how much time he has left in WWE. However, he also said he looked forward to the next time he can be with the fans.
Cena returned to WWE on the September 1 episode of WWE SmackDown, and he was consistently featured on the show for the next several weeks. He later said he received approval from SAG-AFTRA to come back to WWE during the strike.
As of this writing, there is no word on when John Cena will return to WWE programming.
