There is some very positive news for Sonya Deville to end 2023 with.
The WWE Superstar was arrested back in February for having a firearm without a proper permit in the state of New Jersey. Several months later, Deville suffered a torn ACL and has been sidelined from in-ring competition ever since. But there is now some good news regarding the arrest situation.
According to Jim Walsh of the Courier Post, Sonya Deville has resolved the charge by completing six months in a pretrial intervention program. The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office informed Walsh this took place in November.
Deville had registered the gun and had a permit in her home state of Florida. However, that permit isn’t valid outside the state, which is why she ran into issues in New Jersey.
This leaves Deville free and clear to return to WWE in 2024 once she fully recovers from her torn ACL injury.
