More information about the infamous brawl between CM Punk and The Elite has come to light. Steel and Punk’s lawyer has noted that only one person involved in the situation doesn’t have an NDA.
CM Punk and Steel got into a backstage altercation with Omega and The Young Bucks following AEW All Out 2022. Everyone involved was suspended, and they eventually returned to the company. AEW terminated Punk’s contract after he was involved in a backstage confrontation at AEW All In. Punk then returned to WWE in November.
Speaking during an appearance on Wrestling With Rip Rogers, Stephen P New, the lawyer for Punk and Steel, noted that everyone involved in the altercation signed an NDA on the matter, except for one person. (H/t Jeremy Lambert of Fightful for the transcription)
“The only person, and granted she’s not completely objective and unbiased, the only person not subject to a NDA and not subject to confidentiality provisions is Ace’s wife Lucy. Maybe one day she tells the story,” New said.
When asked, New also confirmed that the NDAs were “for life”, and Lucy not having one was simply part of the deal.
