This past Monday Night on Raw, Kayden Carter and Katana Chance captured their first championship on the main roster by defeating Chelsea Green and Piper Niven.
The newly crowned WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions were special guests on this week’s episode of The Bump. During the episode, both Katana Chance and Kayden Carter shared how they felt holding the titles.
Kayden Carter mentioned that this has been a dream for both ever since they stepped into the Performance Center.
“I guess for me, it’s just knowing that everything and how long we have been together and like really wanting a dream for us. If we find this video from way back when I don’t know. It’s years and years ago,” Carter said. “It was a YouTube video that we did at the PC [Performance Center], and it was like, ‘Hey what do you guys want to do?’ And we were like, ‘We want to be the first-ever NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion,’ and it was just like, ‘We want to be a tag team together,’ and all this other stuff.
“That night solidified everything that we ever dreamed of. Finally, it just turned into reality for us. So that, for me, the win, and celebrating with her was like everything for the past four or five years that we’ve been talking about together. So, that was great,” Kayden Carter said.
The best feeling in the world
Katana Chance also seconded Carter’s statement. She said it was the best feeling in the world.
“Not me crying watching you play the video back. I feel amazing. I literally… It’s like the best feeling in the world. It doesn’t feel real… Yeah, it’s been such a long journey for us together. As a tag team. All the goals we wanted to achieve and we’ve done a lot so far. But this by far was the biggest night of all our lives. And for me, the moment of the three count and hearing the place erupt, you just kind describe it.
“I’m getting like, feeling all weird inside thinking about it. It’s the best feeling in the world. And on top of that, going backstage and seeing how your peers are happy for you, that means the world to us. The people that are like, ‘Congratulations. You’ve earned it. You have worked so hard.’ Man! People see the journey. You don’t always know that, but they do,” Katana Chance said.
