Eric Bischoff: Liv Morgan Getting Arrested Is A ‘Silly Ass Joke’

One of the most bizarre incidents that happened this past week was the unexpected arrest of Liv Morgan. WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff claimed that the arrest was a silly joke.

The former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion was arrested because a police officer found a vape pen in her possession. Reports also emerged stating that the cop arrested Liv Morgan as she had cannabis.

During the latest episode of the 83 Weeks Podcast, WWE Hall of Famer, Eric Bischoff shared his thoughts on the arrest.

“I know people that listen to me think, ‘Oh, he’s such a hardcore conservative,’ which is absolutely not the case. [I’m] very conservative on some things but I’m very socially liberal about others. I think the whole marijuana thing is a joke. I think the fact that she had a ticket because there was a vape pen in her car is just silly a*** joke. I don’t get that, there must have been something — that cop must have been having a really bad day or maybe it was his or her first day on the job. I don’t know, but that’s just silly. I’m glad there is no heat,” Eric Bischoff said. [H/T Inside The Ropes]

Fightful also reported that Morgan had no heat from WWE following the arrest.

Eric Bischoff on ROH

The WWE Hall of Famer has also been very open about other happenings in and around the wrestling world. On an earlier episode of the podcast, Bischoff shared his thoughts on Tony Khan’s promotions AEW and Ring of Honor. He stated that if he was given the opportunity to run ROH, Bischoff would just not do it and rather would shut it down.

“It was a bad decision to buy it in the first place and there’s nothing anybody’s going to do to make it interesting or important outside of the hardest of hardcore internet wrestling community fans. That’s it. There is no solution. If it was a horse, I’d put it out of its misery and move on. I would take the resources that are going into Ring of Honor, which is never going to be viable, ever.”

Eric Bischoff is not sure why Tony Khan is still trying to make ROH Work

Bishoff is still puzzled about why Tony Khan is trying to make ROH work. He also commented on AEW unable to cross a million viewers often.

“It’s really unbelievable to me. I don’t know what the drive is. Is it ego? Is Tony just like, I did this and I’m gonna prove I can make it work? It’s certainly not because it’s a great revenue opportunity. it dilutes the core product. It’s being shoved down the audience’s throat and they’re gagging on it. They’re gagging on it. AEW did what, 850,000 viewers with Christian and Edge last week after they did their best to build it up and that’s all you can bring in? You gotta ask yourself why? It’s a really powerful word, why? Why aren’t fans spending more time with the AEW product? Why is Dynamite unable to break a million viewers more than once or twice or three times a year? What is it about this brand?”
