Zac Efron and Jeremy Allen White have quickly accumulated a lineup of potential wrestling opponents.
Later this week, The Iron Claw — a biographical sports drama film depicting the Von Erich family — will be released in theaters. Ahead of the movie’s premiere, Zac Efron and Jeremy Allen White (who played Kevin and Kerry Von Erich) appeared on The Masked Man Show to discuss their respective roles in the film. Amidst the conversation, Efron and White revealed that they’d be interested in competing in a real professional wrestling match someday, if given the time to properly prepare. In response to this statement, several wrestlers have expressed interest in being their opponents.
“The prophecy could finally come true @AEW. Give me @ZacEfron,” AEW’s Kip Sabian wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
Former AEW star Zack Clayton also chimed in on the X platform, writing, “Let’s do it.”
Former NWA World Junior Heavyweight Champion Colby Corino isn’t just looking to wrestle the duo; he’s specifically aiming to nail them with his signature Colby Clash finisher. “Ima hit a Colby Clash on Lip,” Corino tweeted.
While Efron and White seem keen on diligently preparing for this theoretical contest, The WorkHorsemen’s JD Drake insists otherwise. “No need to prepare. Let’s do this [Anthony Henry],” Drake wrote.
Efron and White have also captured the attention of former NWA World Tag Team Champion Royce Isaacs. But rather than wrestling the tandem, the NJPW star revealed that he would love to take a dip into their world. “I would be interested in guest starring in an episode of The Bear or High School Musical 4 if given time to prepare,” Isaacs stated on X.
