According to a new report, Rey Mysterio has signed a new contract with WWE.
In The December 18 edition of the Daily Update, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reported that Mysterio has re-signed with WWE. Earlier in the day, Mike Johnson of PWInsider reported that Rey’s son Dominik Mysterio had re-signed with WWE, with sources noting that the deal was signed about a month ago.
Rey is currently sidelined after he had knee surgery in November. He last wrestled at WWE Crown Jewel, where he lost the WWE United States Championship to Logan Paul. Mysterio appeared on the December 5 episode of WWE NXT, and he was a guest commentator at NXT Deadline. There, Dragon Lee beat Dominik to win the NXT North American Championship.
In April 2023, Rey Mysterio was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. He has been with WWE, albeit with some brief periods away from the company, since 2002.
