Mick Foley has high praise for Mami.
Speaking on WWE’s The Bump, Mick Foley shared his thoughts on The Judgment Day, and he highlighted Rhea Ripley. Foley said that Rhea Ripley’s recent work, especially her match with Nia Jax, makes him remember why he fell in love with pro wrestling in the first place.
“I’ve been traveling pretty extensively, so I don’t see every episode, but when I tuned in and I was just tuning into the last part of a pull apart with Nia Jax and Rhea Ripley, and I heard 15,000 people chanting ‘Mami,’ I was like, now I remember why I love this stuff. It’s just great.
Foley says he always saw big things for Ripley, but she’s still blowing him away.
“Some people know that I’ve been a real big proponent of Rhea Ripley. There were times I was a little disappointed, but now I sit back. I’m like hey, as high as I had hoped for her, I could have never seen this coming. This one of the great characters of the modern generation. Wishing her the very best.”
