WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins and CM Punk had an explosive showdown on the December 11 episode of WWE RAW.
Rollins has taken a number of shots at Punk since he returned to WWE at WWE Survivor Series. On the December 4 episode of WWE RAW, he said that Punk would show his true colors, and it would blow up in general manager Adam Pearce’s face.
Punk announced that he was signing with RAW on the December 11 episode, and he said that he was home. Rollins interrupted, and he got in Punk’s face. “The Visionary” said Punk was fortunate to be standing in the ring, and he told him not to call WWE his home. He stated that Punk had abandoned WWE years ago, and he tried to tear it down.
Rollins passionately said that Punk slandered him and everyone in the locker room. He declared that WWE was not Punk’s home
Rollins then said that the people in the back were his family, and he would do everything he could to protect WWE from Punk. The champion bluntly told Punk that he hated him. However, Rollins said that if Punk was going to be back in WWE, he wanted him to be on RAW. Rollins said this was Punk’s last chance in wrestling.
With that in mind, Rollins said one of two things would happen. He stated that Punk would either expose himself and self-destruct, and he would happily slam the door in Punk’s face. Rollins pointed out that it was also possible that he and Punk could potentially face off for the title. If so, Rollins said he would expose Punk as a fraud, wrestle circles around him, and show him what being the Best in the World really looked like.
CM Punk responded by saying that Rollins had his one chance to speak disrespectfully without him coming after him. He then announced that he was entering the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble, and he teased coming after Rollins.
