Drew McIntyre delivered a heated message about CM Punk.
The wrestling world keeps buzzing about CM Punk’s return to WWE, and he has appeared on RAW, SmackDown, and NXT. Punk is a “free agent”, and he is set to reveal which brand he will choose on the December 11 episode of WWE RAW.
In the first segment of the show, Jey Uso said he was excited about Punk being there. Drew McIntyre interrupted and said SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis could have Punk, as the RAW locker room did not want him there. The former WWE Champion stated that Punk “will destroy this place from the inside out.”
McIntyre noted that he knows Punk well, as he had traveled with him in the past. “The Scottish Warrior” also took a shot at Punk on the December 4 episode of WWE RAW.
Update: McIntyre interacted with Punk later in the show on December 11 after Punk announced that he was signing with WWE RAW. McIntyre said he didn’t care about Punk finishing his story; instead, he only cared about finishing his own.
Punk had a controversial run in AEW, and there were reportedly various issues in the locker room. He was involved in two backstage incidents, one in September 2022 and the other in August 2023, that led to his termination.
