Longtime ring announcer David Penzer has finished up with IMPACT Wrestling.
Fightful‘s Joel Pearl, who was in attendance at IMPACT Final Resolution, tweeted that Scott D’Amore announced the news after the show went off the air. D’Amore stated that Saturday marked Penzer’s final night with the company and thanked him. He also presented him with an award for his years of dedication to professional wrestling.
Penzer then said that he wasn’t retiring. He wished everyone the best and thanked them for the last three years with IMPACT.
Per Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Penzer’s deparure was an amiable exit.
Penzer then took to Twitter to comment on the news by thanking everyone for their support.
Penzer previously worked for TNA Wrestling from 2006 to 2010. After a brief return in 2017, he came back to the company in 2020. He also had a lengthy run with WCW before WWE purchased the company in 2001.
