WWE SmackDown Viewership Increases On 12/8, Demo Also Rises

WWE SmackDown‘s viewership increased on December 8.

Wrestlenomics reports that 2.384 million viewers tuned in on Friday. This number is up from last week, when 2.044 million viewers watched the show. In the 18 to 49 demographic, SmackDown drew a 0.63 rating. This also marks an increase from last week (0.59 rating in the same demographic).

What happened on WWE SmackDown this week?

This week’s show kicked off with Santos Escobar defeating Dragon Lee in a first-round match of the WWE United States Championship contenders tournament.

The other tournament match of the show saw Bobby Lashley pick up a first-round win over Karrion Kross.

CM Punk also cut a promo in the ring where he made his intentions for 2024 clear that he wants to main event WrestleMania 40. Punk teased that he will make his decision on what brand he will sign with this Monday night on WWE RAW.

The main event of the show saw Randy Orton and LA Knight team up for the first time to defeat Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso in tag team action.
