Santana Claims There’s No Sense In Teaming Up With Ortiz Again

Ever since Tony Khan, along with Cody Rhodes, Kenny Omega, and The Young Bucks all worked together to create AEW, it has become a platform for many wrestlers to showcase their talents. Two such stars are Santana and Ortiz. The two used to be a tag team, but not anymore. Recently, Santana claimed that it was time to move on from Ortiz.

Both Ortiz and Sanatana were more than just a tag team, they felt like they were brothers. After achieving a lot of success, most importantly as part of the Inner Circle led by Chris Jericho. But now. the two can’t stand each other. Due to some disagreements between the two, they are no longer friends.

Recently, a fan asked if both talents could talk things through and reunite as tag teams. Mike Santana replied by stating that it makes no sense to get back together and wants to move on.

“No sense in going backwards. I’m about forward motion. The chance was there and nothing was done with it. So time to move on. ??,” Santana tweeted.

Santana once was lighting up a feud with Matt Cardona

A few weeks ago, Matt Cardona managed to pick up a huge victory against Homicide to retain his House of Glory Championship. But as he was celebrating, Santana surprised fans and Cardona by showing up and spoiling the party for the former WWE Superstar. Cardona took to Twitter to vent his frustrations.

“I should be celebrating right now,” Matt Cardona began. “A big win over Homicide at House of Glory, still your House of Glory Champion. I’m at the beautiful Holiday Inn Express. But Mike Santana — Santana’s back! Had to show up at the indies, get a little popski to trend on social media. Probably didn’t trend, though. Mike, stay in AEW.

“First of all, your name’s Mike? That’s news to me, stay in AEW, okay? Stay on Saturday nights, Wednesday nights. Stay away from the Indies. And that goes for everybody in AEW: stay out of my world. I am the Indy God, okay? But Santana, if you want me to come to your show, I can. Well, not on Saturdays because I’m booked, but Wednesdays, I can come. And I’ll show you who the true King of New York really is.”

Santana also responded as well.

“You ain’t coming to MY CITY and spewing your “Indy God” bullshit. Now you gotta cash those checks that your mouth was writing. DADDYs HOME. PAY YOUR RESPECTS,” Mike Santana tweeted.

Earlier this week, Mike Santana defeated Cardona to become the new House of Glory Champion.
