Frankie Kazarian Recalls Talks With WWE, Says It Didn’t Feel Like The Place To Be Right Now

Frankie Kazarian says his talks with WWE went well, but something told him it wasn’t the place to be.

Frankie Kazarian started a new chapter of his career at the end of 2022, as he requested AEW not to roll over his contract. Several options were on the table for the five-time TNA/IMPACT X-Division Champion, and he spoke with WWE. However, he ultimately returned to IMPACT and signed a multi-year deal.

Speaking on Talk Is Jericho, Frankie Kazarian was asked to comment on previous talks with WWE. (H/t Jeremy Lambert of Fightful for the transcription)

“Very good,” Frankie Kazarian said.”I have relationships with a lot of people there. Matt Bloom is one because Matt Bloom and I were in Kawolski’s [Killer Kawolski] school together. He runs developmental and he had contacted me, ‘You still want to wrestle?’ ‘Absolutely.’ ‘What do you think about coaching?’ ‘I don’t know, maybe down the road that is something I want to do.’ ‘Okay.’

“We talked about player-coach roles and a whole bunch of things. I had conversations with a few other people. There were offers made, and very generous, and everybody up there was very cool. Something told me, ‘Not yet, this isn’t the place to be right now.'”

Frankie Kazarian recently called 2023 one of the most rewarding years of his career. Click here to see what he had to say.

Kazarian has called returning to IMPACT the best decision he could have made. Check out his comments here.
