Randy Orton Wants More Accomplishments, Says Longevity Is His Top Goal

Randy Orton comments on his goals in WWE.

Randy Orton was out of action for over a year before he returned to WWE at WWE Survivor Series. Now that he has come back, “The Viper” is determined to keep building his legacy.

Speaking on IMPAULSIVE, Orton was asked to describe what it meant to be considered one of the GOATS after his accomplishments on his Wikipedia page were listed.

“That you read that off Wikipedia [laughs], and it doesn’t mean anything. I’ve got my favorites, everyone’s got their favorites,” Orton said. “I have no doubt there is a healthy amount of people out there that consider for me to be one of the best. But then there’s a lot of guys out there at, I’m not on their Mount Rushmore.”

Randy Orton Wants Accomplishments, Enjjoys Being A Mentor

Orton was then asked about his 14 world title reigns, and it was noted that he is two short of the record. When asked whether he would want to tie or break the record, Orton stated that he would. He made it clear that he wants to do everything that he can. Orton also noted that longevity outside of the ring is important to him as well.

“Oh, of course,” Randy Orton said. “I want to do everything I can. Longevity is always the number one goal for me, and being able to go home and play with my kids and not be in pain. That’d be the ultimate goal. But as many accomplishments as I can accomplish in WWE, the more the better.

“I’ve already done so much so far, it’s kind of nice being in a position where I can watch other guys’ matches and maybe critique and help and answer questions. So for the first time in my career, I find myself being a little bit of a, gosh, I don’t want to say the word, I guess a mentor to some people. I can pull a guy aside, like, ‘Hey man, careful. Don’t go out there and end up in a wheelchair.’
