Independent Wrestler Kasey Huffman Filed ‘Yeet’ Trademark, Application Suspended

Jey Uso not saying “yeet” was one of the most buzzworthy stories coming out of the December 4 episode of WWE RAW. Evidently, there’s a reason why Uso dropped the popular word.

Uso has gotten “yeet” over on WWE programming recently, so much so that he has a “yeet” shirt. However, he didn’t say it on Monday night, and his shirt was blurred out so the word didn’t appear.

Evidently, independent wrestler Kasey Huffman filed to trademark “Yeet” and “Yeet Movement” in 2021, and both are filed under entertainment services related to pro wrestling. The application for “Yeet” has been suspended since October 2022. (H/t Jeremy Lambert of Fightful)

As a result, WWE never filed to trademark “Yeet”, even after Uso started saying it. The company is seemingly distancing itself from the word, likely for the complications with the trademark.
