Among the list of top talents on Monday Night Raw, Cody Rhodes is probably one of the favorites among the fans. He is still on a mission to finish his story. In that process, his next chapter seems to have already been written. That chapter is against The King of Strong Style, Shinsuke Nakamura.
For weeks Shinsuke Nakamura has been wanting a worthy opponent to find him. But that opponent had never found him. Finally, the former WWE United States Champion decided to come to the one whom he believed was a worthy opponent. That was none other than The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes.
Last week on Monday Night Raw, the former Executive Vice President of AEW became the first WWE Superstar to declare themselves to enter the 2024, 30 Men Royal Rumble match. The moment he made the announcement, Nakamura popped up on the titantron and revealed that Cody Rhodes was the one whom he had been searching for the past few weeks. Then the king of Strong Style ambushed Rhodes and sprayed a red mist on Rhodes’ face temporarily blinding him.
This week, Rhodes demanded he get answers from Nakamura. Yet again, Shinsuke Nakamura popped up on the titantron, and this time around he claimed that both he and Rhodes have had the same path in WWE, both won the Rumble and lost in the main event of the following
WrestleMania. The Nightmare demanded that Nakamura can prove that both of them are the same and as a result, the two will be wrestling each other next week on Raw.
Following the announcement, Nakamura took to Twitter to question what he wanted to prove to Cody Rhodes.
“What do you want me to prove? That you are blessed than me?” he tweeted.
