Will Ospreay is finally getting a chance to compete in a TNA wrestling ring.
IMPACT Wrestling announced that Will Ospreay will be on hand for its Snake Eyes event in Las Vegas on January 14. His role on the show has not been announced yet.
The Aerial Assassin commented on the announcement, posting the following:
Let’s make it happen!
The current IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion worked several events for IMPACT Wrestling this year, including a highly praised match against Speedball Mike Bailey at the Bound For Glory pay-per-view. At the time, Ospreay expressed his happiness that IMPACT is rebranding to TNA Wrestling and hoped to compete in a TNA ring.
He has since signed with AEW, and it looked like his dream of a match in TNA might not happen. However, Ospreay’s contract with AEW doesn’t kick in until March, leaving some room for other outside dates.
Ospreay is scheduled to appear at NJPW Battle In The Valley on January 13. This rules him out of TNA’s Hard To Kill pay-per-view in Las Vegas that same night. TNA Snake Eyes is the next night, and he will get his wish.
