Shinsuke Nakamura has it out for Cody Rhodes, and tonight, he explained why.
During tonight’s episode of WWE RAW, Rhodes took to the ring to explain his decision to join the Royal Rumble, and note that he isn’t worried about having big aspirations or putting a target on his back.
He then said that Nakamura had his attention, and that he could either emerge from the shadows and explain himself, or come down to the ring and fight him right now.
A video of Nakamura then appeared on the jumbotron, with the superstar saying that he made Rhodes’ eyes burn last week, and tonight he’ll open them up and show him what’s going on. Nakamura went on to explain that their paths are very similar, as Shinsuke has climbed the mountain, saw the top, and then fell into a “bottomless pit.”
Nakamura said that Rhodes will never make it back, but that he plans to “awaken” Rhodes and unburden him of his story. Since he never got to finish his story, Nakamura said, he’ll finish Cody’s.
