JD McDonagh wants to win some gold, and he has his sights set on one title in particular.
In recent months, JD McDonagh has aligned with The Judgment Day, and he has officially joined the group. The faction includes WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley, Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Finn Balor and Damian Priest, and NXT North American Champion Dominik Mysterio.
Speaking with Irish Wrestling & Entertainment, JD McDonagh was asked whether his goal is to win gold, given the way his stablemates currently hold titles.
“Oh believe me, that hasn’t been lost on me, and they have all mentioned this. That’s the next I think milestone for JD and the Judgment Day,” JD McDonagh said. “I want to make sure that everyone in the group, they’re all dripped out with gold.”
When asked whether he would want to face Gunther, McDonagh replied, “Listen, I know I beat Walter. But Gunther seems like a bit of a different animal. He’s leveled up again. So that would definitely be an interesting one to test myself against, see where I’m at, see if I’m still as good as I was.”
