One of the biggest criticisms that AEW has is that they cannot utilize all the members of the roster to their full potential. But, while that has been an issue, Tony Khan has given his signed wrestlers the freedom to compete in the independent circuit as well. One such talent that has not been given the opportunity to shine on the big screen as much is Rebel.
Rebel (aka “Reba”) has wrestled in multiple promotions throughout her wrestling career. She has competed in TNA IMPACT. Wrestling, WrestlePro, STARDOM, AEW, and many more. She also had a match on NXT once. It was a tag team match against the team of former NXT Women’s Champions Io Shirai (now known as IYO Sky) and Kairi Sane.
Rebel has been the tag team partner of former AEW Women’s World Champions Dr. Britt Baker and Jamie Hayter. Hayter is also sidelined due to an injury.
It is also to be noted that Rebel was also a part of Ohio Valley Wrestling for a while. She began her in-ring training at OVW. Then, she moved on to TNA IMPACT Wrestling. Rebel also held the OVW Women’s Championship once in her career.
The last time fans saw the former OVW Women’s Champion on AEW was in August of last year. She competed on AEW Dark in a one-on-one match against Vickie Dreamboat. Recently, Rebel took to Twitter to share her aspirations about returning to the Indies. She also announced her desire to make an indie tour in 2024 happen.
“It’s been almost 4 years since I have wrestled on an independent wrestling show. And I think IT’S TIME TO RETURN. Let’s do a 2024-Rebel tour, BOOK NOW at [email protected] #rebel #wrestling #lasthoorah #2024,” Rebel tweeted.
Promoters can book Rebel at [email protected].
