AEW Collision Results (12/2/23): The Continental Classic Continues

All Elite Wrestling delivered an action-packed show with the December 2 episode of AEW Collision.

Bryan Danielson will take part in his first match since fracturing his orbital bone in October, when he faces off against Eddie Kingston.

Elsewhere in the night, Claudio Castagnoli will face off against Brody King, and Daniel Garcia will go up against Andrade El Idolo.

The results are as follows:

Match 1: Brody King defeats Claudio Castagnoli via pinfall

In a stunner of an opening match, King walked out with a win over Castagnoli in the Continental Classic. Things ended after King hit a big piledriver for a near fall, but then picked up Claudio to hit a massive lariat for the pin and win.

Backstage segment: Jon Moxley

Backstage, Jon Moxley spoke about how perhaps the last four years of his career are beginning to catch up to him. Everything hurts him, and he hasn’t had his “head screwed on right” for some time. He said he was sick and tired of being sick and tired, and that he can only think of one thing to do to fix it…keep wrestling his way out of it.

Moxley said he plans on winning the Continental Classic, and that he wants to feel connected to the audience.

Match 2: Abadon defeats Kiera Hogan via pinfall

This one lasted all of a few minutes. Abadon ended things by hitting her finish on Hogan to win.

Backstage segment: Samoa Joe

Joe was quickly interrupted by Roderick Strong, who said that he could forgive Joe once for attacking him, but not twice. He did warn Joe that he was walking into a trap, though, but Joe laughed off the suggestion.

Match 3: Andrade El Idolo defeats Daniel Garcia via pinfall

Garcia wasn’t able to secure a win in the Continental Classic, losing to Andrade after Idolo hit a Flatliner late in the match after escaping from a Sharpshooter attempt.

Match 4: The Kingdom (Matt Taven & Mike Bennett) defeat Iron Savages (Bronson & Boulder) via pinfall

The Kingdom ended this one quick by hitting the Hail Mary on Bronson for the win. After the match, Strong — who was at ringside with The Kingdom — hopped into the ring and hit Jacked Jameson (who was with Iron Savages) with a big knee.

Match 5: House of Black (Malakai Black & Buddy Matthews) defeat Christopher Daniels & Matt Sydal via pinfall

This match ended with Black hitting Daniels with the Black Mass to secure the win. Following the match, the lights went out, and FTR came down to the ring. Black then offered them some spots in the House of Black, but before they could answer, Matthews hit Harwood with a knee, and then Black hit the Black Mass on both.

Match 6: El Hijo del Vikingo defeats Kip Sabian

Vikingo once again walked out with a relatively fast win. Sabian nearly stole it after hitting a hurricanrana and a 360 splash on Vikingo, but the superstar kicked out, and then hit a 630 splash for the big win.

Backstage segment: Keith Lee

Lee was immediately interrupted by Shane Taylor, who demanded a rematch at Final Battle, to which Lee accepted.

Backstage segment: CJ Perry

Miro arrived backstage trying to get into Andrade’s dressing room, but Perry stopped him. Perry said that Miro has to let her do what she’s doing, and that if she means anything to Miro, he won’t touch Andrade. Miro said that he wouldn’t.

Match 7: Bryan Danielson defeats Eddie Kingston via pinfall

In the final match of the night, Danielson beat Kingston in the Continental Classic. In his first match back since fracturing his orbital bone, he ended things by delivering a flurry of kicks to Kingston’s head at the end, and then hitting a Psycho Knee for the pin and win.
