Count Doc Rivers among those who would like to see Joel Embiid step into the world of WWE.
WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H recently invited Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid to WrestleMania 40, which will be held at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. Embiid responded by saying he would love to, but he didn’t think he would be in Philadelphia.
In an interview with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Rivers shared his thoughts on Embiid potentially coming to WWE.
“I want to see him do that,” Rivers said. “Joel loves WWE, and he’d be great at that. I’d love to see it.”
Barrasso noted that Embiid is set to be busy around WrestleMania 40. He is set for a game in Memphis on April 6 and another in San Antonio on April 7.
Embiid previously went viral when he did a DX crotch chop during a game. He was fined for the taunt, and Triple H offered to pay so he could keep using the crotch chop.
