WWE Survivor Series Boasts New Records In Viewership, Gate, & Merchandise

WWE reveals the new records set by the 2023 Survivor Series event.

Last Saturday, WWE held their 37th annual Survivor Series event. This year’s show emanated from Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois, marking the third occasion in which this “Big 4” event has been held in the venue. Like last year, the WWE Survivor Series PLE also had an additional attraction — two grueling WarGames matches. In total, WWE hosted five matches on this card, including the aforementioned WarGames matches and two title matches.

Today, WWE announced (per a press release) that the 2023 Survivor Series premium live event has boasted new records in viewership, gate, and merchandise.

In comparison to the record set in 2022, WWE notes that the 2023 Survivor Series iteration saw a 44% increase in viewership. This year’s PLE also drew the largest gate of any Survivor Series ever (17,138 in attendance), which broke the previous event gate record held by Brooklyn, New York in 2021.

Through their partnership with Fanatics, Survivor Series also set the premium live event’s all-time merchandise record. In addition, sponsorship revenue rose 24% in comparison to 2022.

WWE Survivor Series drew impressive numbers in the social media department as well, particularly at the moment of CM Punk’s shocking return to the company. This move elicited more than 71 million views across all platforms, making it the most social post in WWE history.
