Tammy Sytch Sentenced To 17 Years In Prison For DUI Manslaughter Charges

Tammy Sytch is going to prison.

At a court hearing on November 27, WWE Hall of Famer Tammy Sytch, aka Sunny, was sentenced to 17.6 years in prison. The charges stemmed from her arrest in May 2022. She was sentenced to 10.6 years in prison for driving with a suspended license causing death. Sytch was then sentenced to another seven years for DUI manslaughter, which will be served following the first sentence.

Sytch was involved in a fatal car crash that resulted in the death of one of the drivers on March 25, 2022. She failed to stop and crashed into a stationary vehicle, which subsequently hit another car in front of it. The driver of the vehicle Sytch hit, Julian Lafrancis Lasseter, was pronounced dead after he was taken to Halifax Health Medical Center.

Sytch was arrested and charged with nine counts related to the car accident in May 2022. She was initially charged with DUI manslaughter, driving with a suspended or revoked license and causing death or serious injury, in addition to seven counts of a DUI causing damage to a person or property.

Sytch has been in jail since her arrest while she awaited her trial date. She pleaded no contest to one felony charge of driving with a suspended revoked license causing death, four counts of DUI with damage to person, and two counts of DUI with damage to property in October. She also sought a lower sentence. Her attorney claimed Sytch needs specialized treatment for a mental disorder or a disability.
