Dragon Lee will have a major opportunity at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames.
Carlito was set to face Santos Escobar at the Premium Live Event after Santos took out Rey Mysterio with a brutal attack. On the November 24 episode of WWE SmackDown, Carlito addressed Escobar, who then came out and blamed him for everything. The two stars brawled, and Escobar blasted Carlito with a cheap shot. He attacked Carlito again backstage, but Dragon Lee made the save.
Later in the show, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis announced that Carlito was hurt, and he would be unable to compete at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames. He was about to postpone the bout, but Dragon Lee approached him and made it clear that he wanted to face Escobar. Aldis allowed him to take Carlito’s place, and the match was confirmed for Saturday night.
Lee’s bout against Escoabr will mark his first match at a WWE Premium Live Event. He moved to WWE Smackdown in October. Lee debuted on NXT in March 2023.
As of this writing, there is no word on how long Carlito will be out of action. WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
