MJF is reportedly banged up in the aftermath of AEW Full Gear.
At AEW Full Gear, MJF defeated Jay White to retain the AEW World Championship. The match came after The Gunns brutally attacked the champion and sent him to the hospital earlier in the show. Adam Cole temporarily took MJF’s place in the advertised main event, but MJF drove an ambulance back to the arena and competed as scheduled. The champion put his body on the lie during the bout, as he hit a diving elbow drop to the outside and onto the floor.
WrestlePurists reports that, per sources, MJF hurt his hip on the elbow drop to the outside. The champion had to have his hip popped back into place after the bout. “The Generational Talent” was also said to have banged up his shoulder on the top-rope Uranagi.
The report notes that MJF is not expected to miss any time from television. However, the current plan is for him to be featured in a non-wrestling capacity while he heals up for AEW Worlds End on December 30.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful confirmed that he also heard word about MJF hurting his hip.
