Hangman Page Feels Extremely Motivated, Wants To Win AEW World Title Again

Hangman Page has his sets sight on the gold.

Hangman Page has been locked in a bitter feud with Swerve Strickland in recent months. The two stars will clash in a Texas Death Match at AEW Full Gear. A win could help the former world champion climb back into title contention sooner rather than later.

In an interview with Raj Prashad for Uproxx Sports, Hangman Page shared his thoughts ahead of his match against Strickland. He made it clear that he wants to take care of business against Swerve and target the world title.

“I fully intend to finish that for good on Saturday,” Hangman Page said. “Once I can bring closure to that, for me, I feel that now I’m in a very different place than I was for the past year and a half, and I feel extremely motivated and I know that once my current goal is done, (winning the world title again will) be my next one.”

Hangman Page Looks Back On World Title Reign

Hangman Page went on to reflect on his first reign as the AEW World Champion and admitted that it took a toll on him. However, having had time to reflect, Page stated that he is proud of his reign. Additionally, he looks forward to holding the title again.

“The whole thing was taxing on my body, on my mind, on every part of life that you can imagine,” Hangman Page said. “Looking back at it, I can always say… I wish I had done something differently or this or that or had it ended this way or that way.

“But I’m not going to do that. I’m proud of it. It’s more than most wrestlers ever accomplish in their lifetime. I should be proud of that and I am proud of it. I’m looking forward to doing it again.”

WrestleZone will have coverage of AEW Full Gear as it airs on November 18.
