Dolph Ziggler may be bound for AEW.
WWE released Dolph Ziggler (Nic Nemeth) in a wave of cuts on September 21. He had been with the company since he signed a developmental deal in 2004. During his time with WWE, Ziggler won the World Heavyweight Championship, and he captured the Intercontinental Championship six times, among other accolades.
In the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that Dolph Ziggler is expected to sign with AEW, as many expect him to land there. Ziggler has friends in the company, and his brother, Ryan Nemeth, works there as well.
Ziggler’s non-compete clause following his WWE release does not expire until late December.
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
