AEW World Champion MJF says Tony Khan is trying to keep him.
MJF has often referred to “the Bidding War of 2024”, as his AEW contract is set to expire on January 1, 2024. He has repeatedly teased his interest in going to WWE. The reigning AEW World Champion has also stated that he will go to the highest bidder.
In an interview with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, MJF addressed his looming free agency.
“Tony Khan is definitely trying his hardest to keep me here,” MJF said. “There are a lot of things about All Elite Wrestling that I like, but there’s also a lot of things about WWE that I like. What I’m most interested in is money.”
MJF will headline AEW Full Gear on November 18; he will defend the AEW World Championship against Jay White.
