A new report offers an update on the identity of The Devil in AEW.
On the September 27 episode of AEW Dynamite, a masked individual wearing a devil mask led a group that attacked Jay White. This person has appeared multiple times since then. Their group attacked The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn on the November 8 episode of AEW Dynamite.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that, per multiple sources, the people under the masks are the ones planned for the eventual reveal. Several in AEW know the identities, but the secret is being kept quiet.
Sapp also wrote that the talent Fightful spoke with don’t believe The Devil is CM Punk. It would be a huge work on those who know if that turned out to be the case. Additionally, sources said that Britt Baker is not under the mask either. Britt Baker previously teased that she could be under the mask.
