Mickie James is no longer listed on IMPACT Wrestling‘s roster on the company’s official website. A new report shines some light on the situation.
Throughout Mickie James’ time with IMPACT, she has always been a free agent, as reported by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select).
Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports that, per IMPACT sources, Mickie James is taking a break from the company. Johnson wrote that sources indicated that the relationship between the two sides remains “fine”, and she could return at any time.
James missed several months of 2023 with an injury, but she returned at IMPACT 1000 in September. She unsuccessfully challenged Trinity for the IMPACT Knockouts World Championship at IMPACT Bound For Glory on October 21, and she has not wrestled since. She is a five-time Knockouts Champion with IMPACT/TNA. James is also a five-time WWE Women’s Champion, among other accolades.
