Cody Rhodes can’t even think about being a Hall of Famer until Dustin Rhodes gets that honor.
Busted Open Radio welcomed Cody Rhodes on Monday. Co-host Mark Henry praised Cody’s work and went as far as calling him a lock for the WWE Hall Of Fame.
Cody appreciated the praise but noted how his brother, Dustin Rhodes (aka Chicken), needed to be in that conversation before he thought about putting his name there.
“I have never heard Hall Of Famer before, and that would just blow my mind. We gotta get Chicken in that Hall of Fame first though. My brother, we got to get Chicken in there,” Cody said.
“He’s just out there still hitting the ropes where you can hear the ping,” Cody added. “He’s hitting them so hard. Yeah, we’ve got to get him in there.”
Accolades
Dustin Rhodes is still an active in-ring competitor with All Elite Wrestling. He is a former two-time WCW United States Heavyweight Champion. He also won the WCW and NWA World Tag Team Championship, as well as a WCW World Six-Man Tag Team Championship.
In WWE, Rhodes (as Goldust) is a three-time Intercontinental Champion, three-time WWE/World Tag Team Champion and nine-time WWF Hardcore Champion.
Cody and Dustin’s father, Dusty Rhodes, is enshrined in the WWE Hall Of Fame as well as the Pro Wrestling Hall Of Fame.
