Bobby Lashley could win any title in WWE, but he has his sights on a couple in particular.
Speaking on WWE After The Bell, Bobby Lashley was asked about his goals as an in-ring competitor. Lashley first shared his motivations as a manager, then noted a few more accolades he’d like to check off of his bucket list.
“The thing that I do want is, I want to win the WWE Championship again. I would like to be able to win a tag title. The tag titles gives me the Grand Slam,” Lashley pointed out. “I’d like to be a part of a tag team title or win the world title again. I think when it’s all said and done, I don’t want to say it’s going to be a popularity contest. I hate when that comes into play.
“Winning titles is not about a popularity contest. Because when I come out, people chant, ‘Bobby, Bobby, Bobby,’ but it’s not really about that. They acknowledge me for who I am,” Lashley said. “But in straight ability to win a title, I think I have the ability to win any title in WWE.”
When it’s my time
Lashley said he might be focused on helping the Street Profits right now, but he’ll get what’s his when it’s time to collect.
“I think a lot of guys are very protected right now, and they really don’t want to see me. So I’m focusing my attention on some of these other guys and building them up. But when it’s my time, I’ll go in there and I’ll take whatever title it is,” Lashley stated. “Whether it’s a title from Roman, whether it’s a title from Seth, whether it’s a title from Logan, or whether it’s a title from Gunther. I feel really confident I can win any one of those titles and beat any one of those guys any time.”
