Bianca Belair wants to cross the NXT Women’s Championship off her list.
Bianca Belair has held the RAW and SmackDown Women’s Championship, but she never won the gold in NXT. Likewise, Becky Lynch returned to NXT and won the NXT Women’s Championship in December. She defended the title for several weeks befor Lyra Valkyria dethroned her.
Speaking on Casual Conversations with The Classic, Becky Lynch’s return to NXT came up in the conversation. Belair was asked whether she could ever see herself coming back to NXT like “The Man” did.
“When I saw Becky in NXT, and then she got the title, I was like, oh, wait, because she never got the title when she was in NXT,” Bianca Belair said. “So I was very happy for her. I was like, you go and get that title. We all know that, especially because when you start in NXT, that’s where you’re trying to prove yourself, that’s where the grind is real and you’re trying to show, ‘I belong here,’ and that’s the foundation of everything.
“So to leave NXT without the title, even though you go and I was able, like Becky went and main-evented WrestleMania and I main-evented WrestleMania, I’ve been three-time champion, I’ve done historic matches on the main roster, it’s still in the back of your mind. It’s just like, ‘But I never got that back then.’”
Bianca Belair Teases Her Interest In Returning To NXT
Bianca Belair continued by noting how the NXT Championship would have meant validation to her during her time in NXT. She highlighted her accomplishments on the main roster but stated that she could see herself returning to NXT to capture the NXT Women’s Championship.
“For me, that NXT Title was validation for me when I was in NXT,” Bianca Belair said. “I never understood, why can’t I accomplish this and get this title? Because if I can’t do this here, how can I do things on the main roster? So when I saw her get that title, I was like, I know that was a checkmark for her.
“Even though she’s gone to do great things, that was always something she wanted to check off her list. I’m like, I feel her because I feel the same way. So yes, I can see one day trying to go and mark that off my accomplishments list because I was never able to do that.”
