In a stunning turn on tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown, Santos Escobar turned on Rey Mysterio, attacking his former friend.
The moment came following a match in which Bobby Lashley defeated Carlito. After Lashley beat Carlito with a Spear, Bobby and the Street Profits continued their assault on the superstar. Santos Escobar just watched it happen, and eventually Mysterio came in to make the save.
After Escobar tried to stop Mysterio from helping Carlito, Mysterio shoved Escobar, and said that they were a family. It was then that Escobar attacked the pair, and after yelling that they were supposed to be family, he and Mysterio broke into a brawl of sorts, with Mysterio trying to help Escobar up.
However, Santos had had enough, and threw Mysterio into the stairs. After a moment of reflection, he then ran and dropkicked the stairs, pinning Mysterio’s hand into the turnbuckle. Escobar then said that Mysterio made him do it, and that he was his hero, but it was supposed to be the two of them.
