We now know why Komander‘s match with Metalik didn’t take place on the October 20 episode of AEW Rampage.
Several weeks ago, a match between Metalik and Komander was scheduled for the October 20 episode of AEW Rampage, but the match never ended up happening.
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the match was canceled because Metalik refused to put Komander over on the show. Despite that, Metalik still worked the AEW Collision tapings on October 21 for the Ring of Honor brand. However, Meltzer doesn’t believe Metalik’s refusal to do business helped his standing with the company.
Metalik has worked with All Elite Wrestling since September 2022 but has yet to be added to the company’s official roster page.
His overall record hasn’t been overly impressive either. Metalik currently holds a 3-3 record in All Elite Wrestling and a 6-10 record in Ring of Honor. One of those losses in Ring of Honor came to Komander during the October 14 tapings.
