Just a few days after becoming the longest-reigning ROH World TV Champion in history, Samoa Joe vacated the title in a surprise move.
During tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Joe defeated Keith Lee in a stellar match for the title. Afterward, he took to the microphone, and said that he’s proven he’s the greatest ROH World Television Champion ever, and now he’s hungry.
Because of that, Joe said, he’s vacating the title, and has his eyes officially set on the AEW World Championship. The move comes with Joe having officially held the title for 574 days, breaking the 567-day record that was previously held by Jay Lethal from 2015-16.
