Francesco Akira and TJP have won the 2023 NJPW Super Junior Tag League.
At NJPW Power Struggle, TJP and Francesco Akira, collectively known as Catch 2/2, won the tournament by defeating HOUSE OF TORTURE (SHO & Yoshinobu Kanemaru) in the tournament finals. As a result, TJP and Akira earned a shot at the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 18. Drilla Moloney and Clark Connors currently hold the gold.
Akira and TJP are former two-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions.
Lio Rush and YOH won the Super Junior Tag League in 2022. Yoshinobu Kanemaru and El Desperado emerged victorious in 2021.
