Charlotte Flair and Shotzi scored a pinfall victory over the reigning WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Chelsea Green and Piper Niven. The non-title tag team match took place on Friday’s episode of Smackdown.
In a post-show WWE digital exclusive, the unorthodox duo of Charlotte and Shotzi spoke with Kayla Braxton. The pair emphasized how opposites indeed attract.
“Well, I just want to address; remember when those lovely ladies called me a loner and told me that I didn’t have any friends? Well, you know what? I’m friends with royalty!” Shotzi answered, when asked about the experience of teaming with Charlotte.
The Queen adds that Shotzi easily stood out from her past tag team partners in her career.
“I admire her energy and her uniqueness,” Charlotte added. “She makes me smile.”
Charlotte Flair and Shotzi could now be in the running for a future title match following their big win. The competition within the women’s tag division continues to elevate. Former champions Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn also seem to be interested in challenging for the belts soon.
