Jay Briscoe Has Locker Room Named In His Honor By Local School District

Jay Briscoe continues to make a mark on his community.

Briscoe (Jamin Pugh) passed away on January 17 as the result of a car accident near his home. In addition to his work in the wrestling world, Briscoe was also an assistant football coach at Laurel High School. Briscoe’s son played on the football team, and Jay was also a youth basketball coach in the town.

Now, the school is honoring the late Jay Briscoe’s ties to the school. Laurel has named its middle school locker room after him. The “Jamin Pugh Locker Room” was announced during a dedication ceremony over the weekend.

“During Halftime of the Laurel Vs Delmar Football Game, a special memorial dedication was presented to the Pugh family in honor of Jamin Pugh,” the school district wrote on its Facebook page. “The Laurel Middle School locker room will be renamed the “Jamin Pugh Locker Room”. Thank you to the Pugh family for your continued dedication to the Laurel School District.”

After Jay Briscoe’s passing, Ring Of Honor paid tribute to the Briscoes’ contributions to the company by adding them to the design of the Tag Team Championship sideplates.

Mark Briscoe recently returned to action for AEW. He had been sidelined since going down to a knee injury in July.
