Report: Possible Location For 2024 WWE SummerSlam

The Biggest Party of the Summer could be headed to Cleveland.

The location for the 2024 edition of WWE SummerSlam has not been announced yet. However, a new report from Fightful (via Fightful Select) has revealed one city that is believed to be a finalist to host the event.

According to the report, Cleveland, Ohio is “in the running” to host SummerSlam 2024. Several sources contributed to the report, with one noting that Cleveland is “likely” hosting the show.

Two venues that could be in the running if WWE selected Cleveland for the event would be Cleveland Browns Stadium (NFL) and Progressive Field (MLB’s Cleveland Guardians).

Cleveland has hosted SummerSlam once before. The 1996 event was held at Cleveland’s Gund Arena (now called the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. WWE brought SummerSlam to Detroit in 2023, so it would appear likely that the event will return to the Rust Belt.

Shayna Baszler: Fighting Is Just Plain Fun, Regardless Of Who It Is

Fighting is just fun regardless of who it is

Shayna Baszler is happy to square up, no matter who is on the opposite side of the ring.

Shayna Baszler spoke with WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard about her WWE SummerSlam match with Ronda Rousey. Baszler was open on WWE programming about her issues with Rousey, her training partner and friend of many years. Despite that, it’s still got to be fun fighting your friend, right?

“Fighting is just plain fun regardless of who it is. I’d be lying if I didn’t say it’s fun to fight someone that knows what they’re doing. Every fighter, whether no matter, UFC, MMA, whatever,” Baszler explained, “when you interview them, even though obviously you want to win as fast as you can. There’s a certain crazy side of you that craves for that kind of war with someone. And it’s good too, to think the possibility of that here is high.”
